Coupon Codes

This section will allow you to create COUPON CODES that you can allow your GUEST to use when booking your unit. You can give these out in any way you see fit. Some owners may want to promote them on your sites while others may be given to select individuals for special savings.

You create the codes here. You can edit them or delete them at anytime. Here are a few suggestions on how to go about adding a code.

The coupon field will not appear on your Guest Information page UNLESS you have created a coupon in this section.

COUPON NAME: Keep this as short and simple as possible. Make it easy to use but try not to be predictable. Here is a good example. You want to offer $100 off in June to the public and $200 off to your family. The public code could be 100off and your family code could be fam200. We do not recommend creating a series of coupons like the following, 100off, 200off, 300off, 400off, etc. These are easy to figure out and someone may use a code not intended for them to use.

VALID FROM: This begins the range of dates that you want this coupon to be valid. The Valid dates refer to the LEASED dates, not when the booking is taken. If you want to offer a discount in the Fall, you may pick Oct. 1 as your VALID FROM date. So a guest may book a time period with you and the coupon will work IF the VALID FROM date of the booking is on or after OCT. 1. It does not matter when they book the trip.

VALID UNTIL: This is the last date your coupon would be valid. If you wanted to have a Fall coupon, you could have DEC. 1 be your VALID UNITL date. So the check out date on the lease must be on or before DEC. 1. It does not matter when they book the trip, as long as the dates of the lease fall inside the VALID date range.

AMOUNT: You decide on the amount of the discount. Either a stated dollar amount or a percentage of the total rent. The fees and security deposit you ask for will not be effected by the coupon code. The sales tax will be calculated on the discounted rental rates.

Minimum Total Rental: You set your minimums up here. You may want to offer $500 off in the summer IF the guest books a $1500 week. You may not want to offer $500 off if they are booking a $800 week. So you can set up a coupon with a $1500 minimum.

Hint: You may only use numbers, letters and the characters - and _ in your coupon code. Do not use characters like ' or , or /

You may have coupon codes that over lap in time. Only one coupon code may be used at one time for one booking. You may post your codes on your site for anyone to use or just give them out to select guest to use as you see fit. They must be entered exactly as you created them to work.

Example 1: You would like to offer anyone that books your unit 6 nights, they get the 7th night FREE. If your nightly rate is $200, you can set up a coupon "7dayfree" and set it for the whole year and for a minimum booking amount of $1,200 (6 x $200).

You can then post the coupon on your site in your description so the public can use it to book a 7 night stay.

Example 2: You offer repeat guest a 10% discount to book again with you. You could create a coupon like "guest10" and put this in your emails to your guest after they stay. Promoting they can save 10% if they come back to stay with you again. You may not want to promote that on your live site.

The system is very flexible and feel free to create any coupons that you feel will help your business.

To have a Custom Coupon Image like the one below which will be shown in the Property Description of your listing, simply click the checkbox or edit link in the My Added Coupons section above for the coupon you wish to use and that will take you into the edit coupon area then click the checkbox and save.
